NAPPS Website Gets New Facelift
In our continuing effort to keep the NAPPS website the standard for the process serving industry, we have cleaned up the homepage to better illustrate the features offered. Pull-down menus from four major categories direct the viewer to a variety of individual sites.

Upon accessing the website, the first thing a viewer sees is a prominent center page display of the Find a process server by zip code feature. This has evoked more favorable comment from users than any other feature on the website. Should the site happen to be down for any reason, we get calls from users almost immediately wanting to know what happened.

We've finally added another feature that has been in the works for over a year, one that is sure to please many members but, unfortunately, has already upset some members.

This new feature deals with the rotation of names each time a city or state is searched. Members with names at the end of the alphabet in a city like Los Angeles or New York complained that they never got any work because the viewer always made their selection from names positioned at the top of the alphabet.

Now, the names under individual cities appear in random order each time a viewer searches a city or state. So guess who's complaining? You guessed it-members whose names are at the top of the alphabet. Some of them seem to feel they have a constitutional right to always be first.

New NAPPS Directory Printed and Shipped
The Fall 2003 directory has been shipped to members and anyone who doesn't have theirs by November 10 should call the NAPPS office at 800-477-8211.

The new directory has been enlarged to 416 pages in order to accommodate new members and listings, We've also added some additional information in the pages at the back of the book.

Some members didn't get their new corrections in this book because they submitted them too late. This is a reminder to members that we are dead serious about directory deadlines. These are the only two dates you need to know-deadline for Spring edition is March 15, and deadline for Fall edition is Sept. 15.

Lower Registration Fee for 2004 Conference
The 2004 Conference in St. Louis is becoming very affordable for members on a tight budget.

At the last board meeting, the Board approved a motion by Fred Blum to set the registration fee for the 2004 Conference at a flat $50 for members and non-members, and $25 for spouses.

We are hopeful that this will result in a larger turnout and give those members who have never attended a convention the opportunity to come and see how great they are.
