In just a few short weeks, Winter will end and Spring will be upon us! Ah, Springtime... when young process servers' hearts turn to thoughts of love? No, not love! Instead, they turn to thoughts of the Annual NAPPS Conference and Educational Seminar! Yes, it's that time of year again. Time to carefully absorb the plethora of conference material jammed into the very magazine you hold in your hands right now. Time to complete and send in the registration form and time to make your travel arrangements so you won't miss out on what promises to be one of the best conferences ever!
This year, we've placed a greater emphasis on the educational seminar. Several excellent speakers have been lined up to answer all of your questions concerning a variety of topics that are very important to your success in these difficult times. In addition, we've revamped the annual meeting schedule to make room for additional seminar sessions. New this year are moderated round table discussion groups. There is still time for you to suggest topics that are important to you. Also new this year is the cost…. NAPPS Members can attend the educational seminars, as well as the annual meeting and elections FREE of charge!
Perhaps the best part of attending a NAPPS conference is the opportunity to have fun, network and learn from each other. Plenty of sporting events and social functions are provided for these purposes. In addition to the tours, golf scramble, softball game, poker tournament, Friday night Reception and Cocktail Party, Saturday's hosted luncheon, evening cocktails and awards banquet, we've added a Thursday night cocktail reception sponsored by NAPPS and the State Associations. Complimentary admittance to the State Association Reception is offered to all conference attendees.
It doesn't matter whether you are fairly new to the wonderful world of serving process, or if you are a seasoned veteran. By taking advantage of the speakers and by mingling with colleagues from across the country, you can't help but learn something that will benefit you and your business. The best part is… you'll have a great time doing it. Don't forget to bring plenty of business cards. When the people you meet go back to their offices and look in their Membership Directory for someone in your area to send their work to, they'll recognize your name and remember having shared a few laughs with you at the conference. All of a sudden, you'll notice your business increase. It's a proven fact…. Members prefer to send work to people they know. Consider the cost of traveling to and attending the event a small investment in your business' future that could pay off big in the months to come.
It's not my intention to sound like a "cheerleader". Besides, my daughter swiped my pom-poms! However, I'm very excited over the way this year's event is developing and I'd like to see as many people as possible take advantage of it. If you're not sure about attending, or if you have any questions, feel free to contact me and I'll be glad to assist in any way I can. I hope to see you in North Carolina.
